collecting the award Michael and Carole Burgess went to the parliament buildings on Wednesday 20 May 2009. Appropriate, as they, along with David Gasson (no third ticket available) were founding members of Fleece Jazz. The Burgesses said they would have had a wonderful time even if we had not won the 2009 Parliamentary Jazz Award for best venue. Hoorah! We take the award with us to the new venue at Stoke by Nayland Club, of course.

We have moved to Stoke by Nayland Club, and this should be our permanent home. This beautiful venue, set in Constable country has really excellent facilities and food. There is a spa, 2 golf courses, hotel, tons of parking and many other things to do. Access to the jazz has no stairs or narrow corridors.
Food will be available, of course. You can choose among bar food (no reservation necessary) and high class dining in their restauraunt, which is open from 5:30 on Fridays, and reservations can be made by calling 01206 262836.
More information is available on their website
And of course, there is the jazz...
Click here for a diagramatic map of how to get there.

You can download our Winter 2010 brochure as a pdf. You will need Adobe Reader or Foxit to view it. Foxit is available at www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php. If you are on our postal mailing list and email list, you might consider emailing Dave to say that you wish to have email only, and download the brochure.

It would have been hugely more difficult to have built this web site with out the help of Paul Warren, who designed our new brochure, and Alan Sturges, who spent hours discussing, correcting and providing material. By the way, the background colour is a web safe dark blue.
Nevertheless, problems with the site are the fault of Dave Lyons, who would be delighted with any comments and criticisms sent to him. Please note that the site is still in a state of development.

We now have for sale at the club the 2 CD set of the Alan Skidmore Quartet "Impressions of Coltrane", recorded at the club December 2005, and,
an evening with Hannah Richardson recorded at the Fleece June 2006, with Nick's pictures as well!

We are delighted that the Jazz Couriers Volume 2, recorded at the Fleece in 2004, is available for sale from our megastore, or from Trio Records.

Our full programme is accessible here, and tickets are available by calling 01787 211865.

Please click here for an explanation of our seating and ticketing policy.
Your ticket covers admission only and does not guarantee a seat except in the case of disabled patrons who must inform us when booking.
It is always advisable to buy tickets in advance to guarantee admission.

Most of the pictures here and in the brochure are by our very own Nick Rabett.
