We are delighted to be at this lovely venue. The facilities seem boundless, with
golf, other sports, bar and lounge food as well as fine dining, spa and health facilities, a great hotel,
and
every Friday night, the best in modern jazz.
They say (we agree),
"Located in the heart of beautiful Constable
Country the Hotel is surrounded by
picturesque lakes and undulating tree-lined
fairways.The hotel offers something for
everyone: two championship golf courses, a
state-of-the-art spa and fitness complex,
the Lakes restaurant with stunning views,
and comfortable, contemporary-style
en-suite bedrooms, all in an idyllic setting."

Food at Stoke by Nayland Club
There are two (at least) dining facilities.
The hotel’s newly-refurbished
Lakes Restaurant offers a delicious menu selection. It
opens at 5.30pm every Friday night so you have plenty of time before the jazz
begins to enjoy your meal overlooking the lake and both 18th greens.
Booking is recommended; please call

A spacious
hotel lounge bar has just been completed.
It adjoins the Lakes restaurant
and provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for delicioius bar meals,
BBQ foodduring the summer, pre-dinner drinks or coffee, and is a great area
for relaxation at any time of the day. Comfortable soft leather tub
chairs surround a superb central
open fireplace which burns sweet-smelling apple wood from the Peake’s
family farm.
Here is a rough idea of food prices in the lounge bar, but please note
there is a new menu (similar pricing), and I will update this list soon:
- Light bites from £1.35 for chips to £6.90 for a steakburger with fries relish and salad
- Main courses from from £5.25 for Caesar salad to £14.50 for 8 oz rib eye steak
- Sandwiches are £3.20, and £4.20 for coronation chicken with salad
- Specialty sandwiches: £4.10 to £7.50 for the Club Bloomer
Their restaurant menu varies daily, as they use seasonal food. On one particular menu,
- starters ranged from £4.10 to £5.20,
- mains ranged from £9.00 to £14.00, and
- deserts ranged from £4.10 to £5.80
on a most appetizing menu.
